Description
The Model Year 2022~2023 XP-One is a kit designed by Dal Soggio Race, to upgrade the WP Xplor forks, which are fitted on the new KTM, Husqvarna and GasGas 2022~2023 models. The XP-One kit replaces the compression side base valve and the compression side mid valve (not present on the original fork) to obtain a much more regulated oil flow. No modification of the rebound fork leg is required. 5W fork oil is recommended for both fork legs (forks have 4W standard from the factory). The forks will ride higher in the stroke and feel more controlled. The resulting performance will be similar to the original XPOne kit for MY2017~2021, but the kit is easier to install as no modification to the rebound fork leg is required and the cost is lower.
Regarding the oil height setting, the note in the kit instructions has a typo: “Oil level: Standard 115mm +10mm/-10mm; Recommended 100mm”. This is what it should be: “Oil level: Standard 115mm +10mm/-15mm; Recommended 100mm”.
For all round riding the recommended starting point is 100mm air gap. If however most of your riding is lower speed, more technical you might consider increasing the air gap to soften the action.
